OECD

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is a global forum of 38 leading market-economy countries whose mission is to promote “better policies for better lives”.

Originally established to ensure Europe’s progress towards greater economic integration and a move away from protectionism, the Organisation’s membership has grown from 20 countries in 1960 to 38 today. Beyond its membership, the OECD works with more than 100 other economies, many of which participate in its committees and have committed to its legal instruments and policy standards.

On 10 June 2022, the OECD Council adopted the Roadmap for Croatia’s accession to the OECD at ministerial level.
